Eat Play Swim at Beaches Turks and Caicos

hobie cats and kayaks are included in the plan

Ok, first of all, whoever came up with the idea of all-inclusive resorts, God bless them! It’s the way to go if you are not worried about looking good at the beach with that 2 piece bathing suit you’ve been trying to fit into before you started your vacation. With unlimited food and drinks  conveniently available at your own disposal, trust me…it’s guaranteed that you’d blow your diet.

Luckily, I’m one of those who isn’t really too conscious about looking great at the beach so I  was digging the all-inclusive thing.  With food, drinks, and other treats and nibbles included, how can you go wrong? Be aware though that not all all-inclusives are created equal so be careful when you book your trip and know exactly what’s included so there won’t be any confusion with extra charges when your there.

Turks and Caicos is one of the most favorite destinations among Americans . Why? Because of its white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters and the fact that this slice of paradise is just around the corner. It lies southeast of the Bahamas and just a little over an hour flight from Miami and about 3 hours from New York.

Travel+Leisure awarded Beaches Turks and Caicos the #1 family hotel in the Caribbean and my experience at this resort was an absolute delight. It was a family trip and there were about 10 of us in our group.  They have 3 villages with different themes to choose from when you book your room. There’s the Italian village, the French, and the Caribbean.  We stayed at the Italian Village in a three-bedroom suite that comes complete with a butler.  We actually lucked out and got upgraded to that room and I’m not exactly sure how it happened but we were just ecstatic.

We stayed for 3 nights in December just before the holiday break so there wasn’t a lot of people there.  With the amount of time that we had, there was no time to go out and explore the island which we really didn’t mind so much because we had everything we needed at the resort.  The beach was gorgeous and the pool was enormous. It’s really great for families.  They have 3 pools in the property and there’s also a waterpark with a lazy river, a kids club with Sesame Street Characters and even a nightclub for teens.

They have 16 restaurants so you never run out of places to eat. If you want, you can double your meal schedule so you can try all of them.:) Maybe dinner in one place, dessert in another, then coffee and drinks somewhere else.  Their buffet restaurant was ridiculous. They had everything! It was like a feast to your senses and the food was great. My favorite though was Barefoot by the Sea. It’s their seafood restaurant located right on the beach and you can dine barefoot(as the name) and feel the sand on your toes.

Beaches is perfect for a family vacation to eat, play, and swim. Although pricey, in the end you still get the best bang for your money.  Overall, my experience was fantastic! The beach, the accommodations, the food, the service, etc. etc. was really one of a kind. I would go back in a second.
